Matthew Martin is an MA Candidate at the Frost Centre for Canadian and Indigenous Studies at Trent University who also volunteers for Kinark and the Trent University Emergency First Response Team. He is and always will be, an activist at heart.

Melanie Buddle - Vice-President, Unit 1
Melanie teaches part-time in the Canadian Studies and History departments, depending on the semester. She holds a PhD in Canadian History from the University of Victoria. Her academic research interests include the history of gender, family and entrepreneurship, and she is currently working on a social history of coffee in Canada. At the moment, her activism extends to 'actively' chasing her two young kids and working for you, on the Union Executive.

Johnathan Rose - Vice-President, Unit 2
John works as a TA in the Political Studies department. At the root of his interest in union politics is his working class upbringing. He is a staunch critic of capitalism and believes that organized labour, paired with other social justice movements, has the potential to create revolutionary change.
