Keep Track of the Work You Do

It was brought to our attention that time log sheets were only distributed to those graduate students entering the first year of their programs. You can use these sheets to track the number of hours you put into your academic employment and avoid being overworked.
All full-time graduate students who have a full teaching-assistantship (GTA) are obligated to work no more than an average of 10 hours per week, to a total of, and not to exceed, 120 hours per term.
Let us know if you’re working too little or too much by contacting a Steward. This information will help us set priorities for collective bargaining, for example, while some universities provide monetary compensation for overworked graduate TAs this is not guaranteed by our current Collective Agreement with Trent.
